This edition of Crosstalk looked at the impact of the recent 2012 election on LGBT issues. The guest was Peter LaBarbera, President of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.

In the recent election, pro-traditional family forces lost on the homosexual marriage issue in four states. Maine, Washington and Maryland voted in favor of homosexual marriage legislation while in Minnesota a traditional marriage amendment was voted down.

Wisconsin elected a radical lesbian, pro-abortion feminist named Tammy Baldwin to the U.S. Senate, while the first bisexual atheist was elected to the U.S. Congress from Arizona. The Human Rights Campaign attributed Baldwin’s victory to helping her to raise over $500,000 and also called her “…a role model for LGBT youth and young women across the country.”

Other talking points discussed by Peter and Jim included:

----Supreme Court Judge David Wiggins of Iowa survived a recall during this last election. He was one of the Supreme Court justices that voted unanimously to impose homosexual marriage on the people of Iowa.

--Salina and Hutchinson, Kansas, turned back the so-called “bathroom bills” (sexual orientation and gender identity ordinances).

--The “passion gap” or “boldness gap” that exists between the homosexual side and pro-family advocates.

--Homosexual advocates are pushing President Obama to “go big” on their agenda in his second term of office. An example is their desire to have him sign an executive order to ban discrimination by federal contractors against homosexual and transgender individuals. Some believe this could cause the passing of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (E.N.D.A.).

--Now that homosexual marriage is becoming increasingly legal, the next step for the homosexual lobby appears to be the initiating of lawsuits against marriage related officials and businesses.

--Fox News released a story that cash-strapped California somehow found taxpayer funding to finance sex changes.

--Evergreen State College in Washington has decided it will not prevent a 45 year old man from lounging unclothed in the women’s locker room, an area frequented by females as young as 6.

--U.P.S. late last week decided to discontinue funding to the Boy Scouts because of what they feel is discrimination by the Boy Scouts against homosexuals.

--The Gay Christian Network tries to explain compatibility between the Bible and their lifestyle.
