Alan Gottlieb is the Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. He is the founder of the Second Amendment Foundation. He has authored 20 books including, ‘Shooting Blanks: Facts Don’t Matter to the Gun Ban Crowd’ and ‘Assault on Weapons: The Campaign to Eliminate Your Guns.’ He is also the publisher of TheGunMag.com.

New York City residents are receiving confiscation letters if they own a rifle or shotgun that holds more than 5 rounds. No compensation is offered. Residents can take such weapons out of state but they have to prove to police authorities that they’ve done just that.

Has the crime rate been lowered in spite of New York’s tough gun laws? Alan says this is not the case. In fact, he noted that these laws make law abiding citizens a victim twice; at the hand of criminals and at the hands of the government that doesn’t allow you to protect yourself.

This program also discusses the 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition that were supplied to a government agency; the allegations that the Obama administration’s EPA was set to close bullet making plants due to upgrades that are too costly for the plants to comply with; the President’s 23 executive actions designed to reduce gun violence and much, much more.
