Jim opened this edition of Crosstalk with the following news items:

–By a vote of 6-1, Bill Diss, a Portland, Oregon, teacher was fired after objecting to being forced to facilitate presentations by Planned Parenthood in his classroom. In 2007 he began to speak in opposition to the building of a new Planned Parenthood facility in downtown Portland. His pro-life activism was done on his own time, outside the classroom, and off campus. However, when school administrators who have ties to Planned Parenthood were made aware of his activities, he had to endure complaints, reprimands and negative evaluations.

–The Obama administration has sent a message to Russia as to who will be representing our nation at the Olympic Winter Games. He has made two openly homosexual athletes part of the Olympic delegation: Billie Jean King and Caitlin Cahow.

–There is a proposal by an Ohio senator (Senate Bill 248) that would require home schooling parents to be investigated and approved.
