Where is the American healthcare system headed? You can decide when you hear Jim Schneider present details about the following news stories:

-Are Americans better off now as President Obama has indicated compared to when
he took office?
-President Obama slams congressional republicans for their focus on the Benghazi
terror attack.
-The calamity of the Obamacare rollout is worse than originally thought. The
Obama administration has been forced to admit that the Obamacare website
received only one enrollment on its first day of operation and it failed to
register 48% of those who applied on its second day.
-Nevada’s state-run Obamacare exchange is the latest to shut down and join
healthcare.gov for 2015.
-Oregon officials opt to permanently join healthcare.gov, scrapping their 305
million dollar state-run exchange.
-Massachusetts is attempting to rebuild its formerly operational healthcare
exchange in the months remaining before the next open enrollment period. They
also plan to join healthcare.gov for 2015.
-A group of healthcare experts urges the Obama administration to appoint a new
CEO to oversee Obamacare’s online health insurance exchanges and safeguard the
next open enrollment period that begins in 6 months.
-The Obama administration has quietly adjusted key provisions of the Affordable
Care Act (Obamacare) to potentially make billions of additional taxpayer dollars
available to the insurance industry if companies providing coverage through the
plan lose money. The move was buried in hundreds of pages of new regulations
issued late last week.
-U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts may have been blackmailed to approve Obamacare
after being spied on by the NSA and CIA.

Jim then took a break from the headlines to highlight an audio clip from a Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee meeting before the U.S. Senate. During the meeting, Senator Jay Rockefeller, the committee chairman, brought forth allegations of racism against those who don’t agree with Obamacare. His comments were followed by strong words from Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

The program continued with more headlines from this month alone proving the continued poor performance of Obamacare.

Jim also presented an update on the Veterans Administration scandal, a topic that was handled in detail on the May 19th edition of Crosstalk.
