Julaine Appling is the President of Wisconsin Family Council. Their mission is to advance Judeo-Christian principles and values in Wisconsin by strengthening, preserving and promoting marriage, family, life and liberty.

According to Julaine, Planned Parenthood is an organization that purports to be about women’s health and has successfully developed this image to such an extent that even some pastors have recommended them. These pastors have done this, not necessarily because they are pro-abortion, but because they are ignorant of who Planned Parenthood really is.

So what is Planned Parenthood? Planned Parenthood is America’s largest abortion provider that was founded by eugenicist Margaret Sanger. Sanger was one of the first proponents of contraception who believed that people of certain ethnic backgrounds shouldn’t have children.

Julaine communicated that Planned Parenthood has set out to annihilate pregnancy resource centers. They have taken action legally and legislatively against such centers along with executing public relation campaigns to besmirch and present false allegations against them.

What else do parents needs to know? They need to realize that Planned Parenthood promotes promiscuity. They bring a message to public school teens that pre-marital sex is fine; that teens just need to be safe about it and that they can help them in that pursuit. This has led to efforts like the one in Beloit, Wisconsin, where they have a school board approved, in-school health clinic at one of their high schools. On Wednesdays students can come in and obtain pelvic exams and other reproductive ‘health care’ services.

In response Julaine recommended that parents inquire about obtaining the proper forms that would allow them to opt their children out of any program that would in any way deal with sex education.
