--The Vatican flag will be raised at the United Nations for the first time on Friday ahead of the Pope's address.
--President Obama nominates Eric Fanning to be the first homosexual to be Secretary of the United States Army. In contrast, George Washington approved the dismissal of a soldier for attempting to commit sodomy.
--In his last phone call home, Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley Jr. told his father from his Afghanistan bunk that he could hear Afghan police officers sexually abusing boys they had brought to the base. At night he could hear them screaming but they were not allowed to do anything about it and told to look the other way because it's their culture.
--State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said that the administration would welcome Saudi Arabia's appointment to a leadership position at the U.N. Human Rights Council saying that the U.S. and the kingdom were close allies.
--The Alabama Supreme Court has refused to recognize an adoption granted to a lesbian woman in 2007 by a Georgia court.
--An Oregon judge who will not officiate at homosexual weddings is fighting to keep his job.
--The ACLU is bringing a lawsuit against Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis because they claim she has altered the marriage certificates.
--Muslims said to be the fastest growing group of immigrants according to new census data published by the Center for Immigration Studies.
--The U.S. voluntarily imports more than a quarter of a million Muslim immigrants each year.
--Only 11% of Muslim Americans identify as Republican or leaning Republican making them one of the most reliable Democratic voting blocs in the nation.
--The Obama administration is working to get 'Green Card' holders registered to vote.
--Presidential candidate Marco Rubio has introduced a new foreign worker bill that would substantially increase Muslim immigration.
--Secretary of State John Kerry announces that the U.S. will significantly increase the number of worldwide refugees it takes in over the next two years.
--E.U. interior ministers approve a plan to relocate 120,000 refugees across Europe.
--Authorities in Wertheim, Germany, cannot settle any more refugees and migrants after Germans set fire to an asylum center that was set to house up to 400 people.
--5 men nabbed last month aboard a flight at Africa's busiest airport with 6 million dollars stuffed in bags may have been making hundreds of similar trips with inside help as part of a cash pipeline to fund ISIS.
--Hillary Clinton breaks years long silence over her stance on the Keystone XL pipeline.
--Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders praises Hillary Clinton for finally announcing her opposition to the Keystone XL project.
--The company that Hillary Clinton paid to manage her private e-mail network was the victim of a massive international hack during the period in which Clinton was employing it.
--The FBI is refusing to comply with a federal judge's order that they conduct a probe of Hillary Clinton's e-mail server.
--Clinton agrees to request to meet with the Black Lives Matter organization.
--The Obama administration is weeks away from imposing a new ozone particulate standard that manufacturers say will cripple jobs and productivity in the U.S.
--Senate Democrats blocked a vote on a pro-life Senate bill to ban late term abortions.
--The Senate will have a cloture vote tomorrow on a continuing resolution that funds the government through December 11th and includes HR-3134 that was passed by the House last Friday stopping Planned Parenthood funding for one year and redirecting the funds to federally qualified health centers.
--Joe Biden doesn't want to get into the theological discussion about abortion and when life begins.
--House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer refused to say whether he thinks an unborn baby with a human liver and human heart is a human being.
--Hillary Clinton reveals that she would not support a federal limit on abortions at any state of pregnancy in the name of a woman's right to choose.
--Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards is expected to testify next week before a congressional hearing looking into the abortion business sale of aborted babies and their body parts for research.
--A federal judge orders Arkansas to temporarily reinstate its Medicaid contract with Planned Parenthood.
--A second round of public protests against Planned Parenthood will take place around the nation on October 10th.
