Jim began this broadcast by quoting from 2 Timothy 3:1-5. This description is indicative of the very society we’re living in today, and the participants are often young people. He presented numerous news stories from this year alone that prove the point. Stories included:

–A Green Bay, Wisconsin, middle school teacher announced her resignation after shocking claims that the school is a hostile environment. She indicated that students swear at teachers and use vile, crude and sexual language. One teacher was injured trying to break up a fight, there’s inappropriate sexual contact among some students, fires have been started, weapons brought in, drugs being sold and used, truant students terrorize teachers and students as they roam the halls looking for fights, and much more.

–Police arrested 4 people in Nevada for a string of crimes including armed robbery. In custody was an 18 year old, a 19 year old and two 17 year old juveniles.

–Indiana could possibly have their youngest triple homicide suspect at 15 years of age.

–A flash mob of an estimated 500 teens, mostly between the ages of 12 and 17, jumped on cars, threw bottles and taunted police officers in Philadelphia. Police commanders decided not to arrest any of the teens for fear that the situation might escalate.

–3 Mississippi teens faced charges after a horrific sexual assault broadcast through Facebook.

–A teen flash mob in Oakland, California, lured a woman into a train seat and grabbed her phone. Then they began punching and kicking a 62 year old passenger who chased them and demanded that they return the device.

–Passengers on a commuter train were terrorized when a gang of up to 60 teens swarmed the train and began robbing and beating passengers.

This is just a sample of the stories that Jim presented for listener input, but before taking questions and comments, he asked the audience to consider the following: What has caused youth to turn on authority? Is there a way out of this? Is there hope? Find out how they responded when you review this startling Crosstalk program.
