When the batteries go dead on a watch it will still be right twice a day. But if it runs 5 minutes fast or 5 minutes slow it will never be right.
In the same way, we’ll never be right if we’re running ahead of or behind God’s timing. God has a plan for each day of your life. In fact, He has a plan for each hour even each moment of your life.
We only get God’s best for our lives and experience His full blessing when we use our time in the plan God has for us. The one who runs ahead doing good works God didn’t want him to do, is like the fast clock. The one who is lazy and does nothing for the Lord or for anyone else, is the slow clock. Neither one will know the blessing of being in God’s will and the rewards that come from listening to Him and redeeming the time.
