Jim Valentine is with the Christian Apologetics Research & Information Service (CARIS). Tom Jones is the Founder and Director of the Christian Research Council.

Jim and Tom are part of a billboard truck tour traveling around the nation to get the word out about Mormonism. This tour is a response to a test marketing effort consisting of commercials in 9 cities that attempt to present Mormons as traditional Christians. On the surface, their theology may seem harmless until you realize what Mormon missionaries (and presidential hopeful Mitt Romney) probably won’t tell you.

For example, Mormons believe the following points that are in clear opposition to the teachings of orthodox, historic Christianity:

--A Mormon male can eventually become a god over his own planet.
--Jesus is the spirit brother of Lucifer.
--God the Father had sexual relations with Mary.
--Christ’s death on the cross provides salvation for everyone into one of three levels of heaven.

Don’t be fooled by the Christian sounding marketing ploy of Mormonism. Find out what its adherents really believe when you review this edition of Crosstalk.
