Over the past 4 months, J.C. Penney has launched 3 attacks on traditional family values. Vic presented Crosstalk listeners with the following details:

In attack #1 from February, 2012, J.C. Penney announced that open homosexual Ellen DeGeneres would be their company spokesperson.
When many people contacted the company to object, C.E.O. Ron Johnson defended the choice of Ellen as their spokesperson.

In attack #2 last month, J.C. Penney’s sale catalog featured a same-sex couple. The photograph is of two women identified as Wendi and her partner Maggie holding their two daughters. Both women were wearing wedding bands.

Attack #3 is currently under way with J.C. Penney’s Father’s Day ad that features two homosexual dads.

Last month when the finance reports came out, J.C. Penney reported a first- quarter loss and said it will discontinue its quarterly dividend after sales fell more than anticipated. It was a loss of $163 million compared to a profit of $64 million a year earlier. Sales slumped 20% and their stock plunged nearly 20% on Wednesday, May 16th. Forbes reported that this was the worst single day performance in the past 40 years.

Vic also presented information regarding two related stories:

–A New Mexico Court of Appeals judge says that states can require Christians to violate their faith in order to do business. This decision affirms a penalty of nearly $7,000 for a photographer who refused to take photos of a lesbian commitment ceremony in the state where same-sex marriage is illegal.
–The week of June 10th has been declared Pensacola Pride Festival Week. You can contact the Mayor of Pensacola, Florida, (Ashton Hayward) by calling 850-435-1626.
