Ken Ham is the Founder, President and CEO of Answers in Genesis and Director of the Creation Museum just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio.

This Crosstalk began with Vic playing audio of Bill Nye the Science Guy from PBS as he attempted to present a brief defense for the idea of evolution.

The first problem with Bill’s explanation is that he never gave any evidence for evolution. Also, what does evolution, which is the alleged effect of random chance processes acting upon inanimate matter, have to do with some of the scientific endeavors he mentioned or technology in general?

The reason Bill is able to make evolution appear plausible is because he fails to make a distinction between observational science and historical science. As Ken explained, observation science deals with using your five senses in the present while historical science deals with knowledge concerning the past. By not making this clear delineation within science, Bill’s explanation is fallacious. Unfortunately, such thinking within the evolutionary camp is generating fear. In fact, some humanists are claiming that to teach biblical creation is to engage in child abuse.
