Rampant terror attacks have taken place in Jerusalem and have spread throughout Israel.  Last evening a terror attack in Beersheba left 11 Israelis wounded and claimed the life of a 19 year old Israeli Defense Officer.  There have been murders and the wounding of Jewish men, women and children by shooting, stabbing  and rock attacks.  Jews have been targeted and run over at a bus stop.  What is the motivation behind these attacks and what impact is the international community having on this situation?

Joining Jim to discuss this issue was David Rubin.  David is the former mayor of Shiloh, Israel.  He is the founder and president of Shiloh Israel’s Children’s Fund.  He is the author of 4 books including: ‘The Islamic Tsunami’ as well as his most recent book, ‘Sparks from Zion.’

The terror attacks that Jim noted have been occurring on a seemingly endless basis.  David described the situation as hourly assault attempts on Israel by Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority and others such as Islamic Jihad and ISIS.

John Kerry seems to indicate that Israel is seeing unrest due to the massive increase in settlements that have been built by Israel in recent years.  David disagrees and says the terrorism is being driven by hatred of Jews, the hatred of anything non-Muslim and an unwillingness to accept that the people of Israel can be a sovereign nation in the Middle East.

On the other hand, the Hamas and Palestinian controlled media point to a Jewish threat to the Al-Aqsa mosque claiming that Jews are limiting Muslims access to the mosque and destroying the site.

How does David think Israel should respond to the terrorism?  How are they responding?  What is or will this do to U.S./Israeli relations?  Get the answers to these and other important questions on this edition of Crosstalk.
