Once again Jim brought listeners up-to-date on the latest news stories that affect Christians around the world. This week the stories included:


--Russia asks permission to fly surveillance planes with high powered digital
cameras over the U.S.
--North Korea has renewed their threat to turn South Korea and the U.S. along with
U.S. bases in the Pacific into a sea of fire.
--China has deployed fighter jets to a contested island in the South China Sea.
--Chinese companies are buying up foreign businesses at a record rate including
some in America.
--President Obama is urging Congress to approve the closing of the detention
center at Guantanamo Bay.
--An expert on military preparedness says the U.S. armed forces could topple like
a Jenga block tower if President Obama's social agenda is allowed to continue.
--A new report reveals a list showing over 1,285 cases of expanded hostility
toward religion in America.
--A Longview, Texas, bakery is under siege for declining to bake a cake for a
homosexual couple.
--Presidential candidate John Kasich tells Christian bakers that if they refuse to
bake cakes for same-sex weddings they should move on to more important
issues.
--North Carolina's largest city passed a law Monday allowing transgender people to
choose public bathrooms that correspond to their gender identity.
--The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) noted that last November a coalition of LGBT
groups successfully elected a pro-equality majority in the city council.
--A school board votes unanimously to reject a proposal to add sexual orientation
and gender identity to the school's non-discrimination ordinance.
--Because the lawsuit was taking a toll on the family, an upstate New York farm
couple ends their legal battle with homosexuals by paying the fine for declining
to host a same-sex wedding.
--The U.N. Secretary General includes abortion in his plan to address the global
humanitarian crisis.
--Abortion clinics closing at a record pace in the U.S.
--An Alabama pro-life legislator filed a bill requiring abortionists to reveal to
patients how much they make doing abortions.
--The House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives has announced that it will
hold its first hearing on March 2nd. The panel was formed to gather information
and get the facts about medical practices of abortion service providers and the
business practices of the procurement organizations that sell baby body parts.
--Donald Trump says Planned Parenthood does a really good job in a lot of
different areas.
--Hillary Clinton supporters at Planned Parenthood will spend over 1 million
dollars on television and Internet-based advertising to push her campaign.
--Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin is concerned that Canadian Prime Minister
Justin Trudeau has tripled the number of Syrian refugees allowed in the country.
--Trudeau has ordered the Canadian military to draft plans to house more than
6,000 Muslim migrants at military bases. He's also pledging to build taxpayer
funded mosques, as well as provide Qur'ans, prayer mats and foot-washing
towels.
--21 year old Khalil Abu-Rayyan had plans to shoot up a church full of Christians
in Detroit.
--ISIS comes to Buffalo.
--Robert Spencer, head of Jihad Watch, has a death threat against him.
--A Marine is banned from his daughter's graduation for exposing Islamic
indoctrination.
--The FBI launched 'Don't Be a Puppet', a browser-based video game designed to
counter recruitment propaganda from violent extremists. After complaints from
the Council on American/Islamic Relations (CAIR), the bureau has removed and
replaced references to Islam and Islamic terrorism on the site.
--CAIR is gearing up for a big push against so-called Islamophobia in America.
--Donald Trump says he can't take Israel's side in the Israeli/Palestinian
conflict.
--The Iowa House of Representatives voted to block the state from investing in
companies that are publicly boycotting Israel.
--Relatives of Justina Pelletier announce plans to sue Boston Children's Hospital
for malpractice and for violating her civil rights.
--Former Texas Governor Rick Perry is not ruling out a return to the Republican
presidential race if a brokered convention occurs in Cleveland in July.
--President Obama has ended the policy banning people with HIV from entering the
U.S. in 2009. Now his administration is eliminating the entry ban for another 3
sexually transmitted diseases.
--Fox Network has ordered a pilot for a new TV show that will fight so-called
Islamophobia.
