Many current news stories were highlighted--here are just a few of them:

In Middle-east news:

The Times of Israel reports that Iran is now saying they have the ability to destroy Israel in less than eight minutes. They are testing missiles, tests that are not forbidden by the Iran agreement, but are inconsistent with a UN Security Council resolution,

Iran is also renewing support for the the Palestinian terrorist group, Islamic Jihad in Gaza, as they work to strengthen their fight against Israel.

A Lebanese newspaper reports that Hezbollah celebrated the anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon by announcing that they are building tunnels into Israel, and claiming that they taught Hamas to do the same along the Gaza-Israel border.

Here are just a few of many stories about promoting and requiring accommodation of transgenders in stores, schools, and elsewhere:

Eleven states are now filing suit against the directive by the Education and Justice Departments giving "guidance" to all public schools to open their rest rooms and dressing rooms for the use of students based on their gender identity, not their physical sex. The states include Texas, Alabama, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Utah, and Georgia, plus Arizona's Department of Education and Main Governor Paul LePage.

43 Republican members of Congress joined Democrats to vote for Barack Obama's trans-gender agenda, ratifying an executive order barring contractors who "discriminate" against sexual identity, even in their private employment policies.

Southern Poverty and Law Center complained to the Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC) of the State of Alabama about Chief Justice Roy Moore, and now former Legal Director of the SPLC has been Hired by the JIC to prosecute Moore.

It is now reported by Lifesite News that in addition to the bathroom regulations in the "guidance" for accommodating transgender students in all public school, another provision states that during such activities as field trips that include overnight stays, school districts must allow biological males and females to stay together in the same hotel room, and if they alert the young women or their parents in advance, they risk a federal lawsuit.

Target Stores are now suing a man who protected a girl who was being stabbed at a store in Pennsylvania. Her attacker was convicted of criminal assault, but Target now charges that the man, who was hailed at the time as a hero who likely saved her life, acted irresponsibly.

Girl Scouts of NE New York will now allow trans-gender members.

The governor of Oregon, Keith Brown, who is openly bi-sexual, has encouraged people to speak out positively in bi-sexual language.

A fifth-grade teacher in Oregon has won a 60,000 payout after suing for being called a "lady", rather than masculine terms she preferred, and says she now feels "safe".

In a surprising development, an organization of professionals, including psychologists and medical doctors, has expressed concern that young people self-diagnose as transgender are being affirmed by mental health professionals with little exploration of the reason for that belief, which is often encouraged and facilitated by online websites.

Sioux Falls, SD has dropped plans to add transgender "protection" to their city code after learning of its likely consequences.

Pro-life and abortion related stories include:

The Houston district attorney, who was supposed to be investigating Planned Parenthood for violating Texas laws prohibiting the purchase or sale of baby parts from aborted babies, actually shared confidential information with PP, and then moved to indict David Daleiden, who helped expose Planned Parenthood's illegal activity on video.

The Republican governor of Oklahoma, who recently vetoed a bill to protect the lives of the unborn, which is against the Republican platform, has now been appointed to be co-chair of the party's platform committee.

A "911" call from an abortion clinic in Phoenix, Arizona state that the "problem" is that an aborted baby was still breathing and they could not care for it. Meanwhile a Florida Planned Parenthood abortion business was evacuated, and seven people were taken to a hospital for medical evaluation, as hazmat teams checked out an "unknown substance", which turned out to be baby food.

The South Carolina governor has signed a bill banning abortions after 20 weeks.

The Illinois legislature has passed a bill to require every doctor, pharmacist, and pregnancy center to promote abortion if they will not participate themselves, by allowing only three courses of action: "refer" the patient to another provider, "transfer" the patient to another provider, or provide a list of "other health providers"---meaning providers who would perform the abortion services. This would force those in the pro-life medical community to choose between violating state law, and violating deeply held religious conscience.

Democrats in the House of Representations want to amend the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act to ensure religious exemptions cannot be applied to any health care services, including abortion and gender transition treatments.

Some other news stories include:

When East Liverpool High School in Ohio bowed to a threat from the Freedom From Religion Foundation and banned a prayer song, the student body responded as the Valedictorian led in the Lord's Prayer followed by applause, and the school decided it needed to reconsider its policy.

Donald Trump has reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for President.

The Louisiana governor has signed a "Blue Lives Matter" bill, which expands the state's hate crime law to include police officers and first responders.

China and Russia are ramping up military activity, with China sending nuclear-armed submarines to patrol the Pacific, and Russia and China both increasing the number of long-range warplanes put on missions as far as the California coast.
